Trump: Zelensky will sign a very big deal - 1

US President Donald Trump announced last night that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will arrive in the US capital Washington on Friday to sign an agreement with the US on Ukraine's rare earth elements, world agencies reported.

"I hear he's coming on Friday, that's certainly OK with me if he wants to", Trump told media representatives in the Oval Office of the White House, quoted by Reuters.

Earlier, a senior Ukrainian official informed Agence France-Presse that a Ukrainian delegation would visit Washington for negotiations on the precious minerals on Friday.

Zelensky wants to come to Washington and sign a "very big deal", Trump stressed.

The main topic of these US-Ukraine talks will be Kiev's provision of Washington's access to Ukraine's natural resources, including rare earth metals.

Reuters notes that Trump did not disclose details of the possible agreement.

Before the US president announced the meeting, news agencies reported that Ukraine had accepted the US terms of the agreement.

This deal is strategic from the point of view of Kiev's desire to secure US support in the context of Donald Trump's efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine, Reuters noted.

At the same time, the US president announced his intention to put up for sale "golden cards" worth $5 million each as part of a scheme for foreign investors to acquire American citizenship.

Among these businessmen who prove their intention to settle on American soil and create jobs there, there may be Russian oligarchs, Republican Trump said.

The "golden cards" in question are part of the visa program of the US president, who is running for his second term, called EB-5 (EB-5/Employment-based fifth preference category).

"We will sell a "golden card". "We're going to put a price tag of about $5 million on this card," Trump said.

"This will give you a green card advantage - it will be a path to (US) citizenship," he told reporters at the White House.

The Trump administration also plans to create a registry for migrants who are in the US illegally, Reuters also reported, citing a publication in the American newspaper "Wall Street Journal".
