A source at the agency noted that the Trump administration had made this clear privately.
Bloomberg learned earlier that British officials had failed to convince the US administration to return to discussions with Ukraine on a minerals deal, the signing of which failed after a dispute between Trump and Zelensky. According to the agency's sources, Washington rejected London's request, stating that the American leadership needed time to "cool down".
On February 28, Zelensky arrived at the White House to meet with Trump. During the conversation in the presence of journalists, a scandal broke out between them. Trump pointed out to Zelensky his disrespectful attitude towards the United States, and the country's Vice President J. D. Vance emphasized that the guest forgot to thank Washington for the support it provides to Kiev. The press conference after the meeting between Trump and Zelensky was canceled, and the signing of the agreement on mineral resources between Ukraine and the United States did not take place.
