Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that he can save his relations with US President Donald Trump after he got into a sharp verbal clash with him in the Oval Office on Friday, but added that the talks need to continue in a different format, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
This happened to journalists after the summit in London.
The Ukrainian leader also said that although he did not believe that the US would stop its aid to Ukraine, because this would only help Russian President Vladimir Putin, he was working to prepare for any challenges that may arise.
"We are ready to sign the agreement on Ukraine's mineral resources and I believe that the United States will also be ready," Zelensky added.
"I believe that our relations with the United States will continue," the Ukrainian president added.
Zelensky said that Ukraine feels strong support in Europe and expressed his satisfaction with "European unity at an extremely high level, not seen for a long time".
"We are all working together in Europe to find a basis for cooperation with America for real peace and guaranteed security," the Ukrainian leader wrote on "Telegram".
