NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stressed in a phone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that cooperation is most important for the stability of the Western Balkans, Rutte himself announced on the social network Ex.
"Good conversation with President Vucic", Rutte wrote. "It is so important that we continue to work together to support the stability of the Western Balkans, including through NATO's partnership with Serbia. Aleksandar, I expect you to visit Brussels very soon".
Earlier, the Serbian president announced that he had a long and frank conversation with Rutte about the situation in the Western Balkans region and the bilateral relations between Serbia and NATO.
"We both noted the importance of a responsible and serious attitude in the region and emphasized that preserving peace is a priority interest for all people living in the region," Vucic wrote on his Instagram profile. "We have arranged a meeting in Brussels in the coming months", he added.
