British Prime Minister Keir Starmer remains focused on peace in Ukraine and will not allow himself to be "distracted by various messages", British Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner said today after the news of the suspension of US military aid to Kiev, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
Keir Starmer “is focused on achieving peace. "He will not be distracted by various messages," Angela Rayner told the BBC.
"He will continue to engage in dialogue with our oldest and most powerful ally, the United States, and with our European partners, as well as with Ukraine," the deputy prime minister added.
The suspension of military aid announced by Washington is "a matter that depends on US President" Donald Trump, the Labour MP said, reiterating that the government is "focused on supporting Ukraine." Conservative opposition leader Kemi Badenoch called the news from Washington “deeply disturbing“.
“It is clear that Britain and Europe must rearm much more quickly if we are to give Ukraine more than warm words of support“, she wrote on the social network “Ex“. “We must work to keep America with us“, added Kemi Badenoch.
