An agreement between the US and Ukraine to give Washington access to develop Ukrainian rare earth elements is not on the agenda "at the moment", US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
In response to a question from "CBS News" Asked whether the deal was still on the table, Besant replied: "Not yet".
US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky did not sign a prepared agreement on American access to Ukraine's valuable minerals, as expected, during their meeting at the White House on Friday.
The two then engaged in a verbal spat, with Trump and his Vice President J.D. Vance accusing Zelensky of not being "appreciative enough" for American help to Kiev in resisting the Russian invasion.
