The severe attacks on patriotic parties, sometimes just because they won elections, are a cause for serious concern. That is why it is extremely important for these parties to join forces, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said during a visit to the US capital, Washington, reported the Hungarian news agency MTI, quoted by BTA.
After a meeting with his American counterpart Marco Rubio, Szijjártó stressed that the current economic, political and moral crisis in Europe is evident even on the other side of the Atlantic.
“We were unanimous that upholding national identity in these difficult times is perhaps more important than ever“, said the Hungarian minister.
“The severe attacks against patriotic forces and governments, sometimes just because they won national elections, give much cause for concern“, Szijjártó added and expressed the need for the unification of patriotic forces in Europe.
