A joint trip to Washington by French President Emmanuel Macron, his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is planned, French government spokeswoman Sophie Prima announced, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.
After a meeting of the French Council of Ministers, Prima specified that the trip is expected to take place in the short term, but did not specify a specific date.
At the same time, French President Macron will address the nation later today.
A summit of European leaders is scheduled for tomorrow in Brussels, which will be dedicated to Ukraine and the defense of the continent.
