US President Donald Trump said today that it is easier for him to negotiate with Russia than with Ukraine, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Washington will cut off aid to Kiev if it is not ready to resolve the conflict through negotiations, he warned reporters at the White House.
Trump said this at a time when his administration is trying to reach a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, Reuters notes.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha, meanwhile, reported that he had a "constructive conversation" by phone with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with whom they discussed an upcoming meeting in Saudi Arabia.
"Ukraine wants the war to end, and US leadership is an essential factor in achieving lasting peace. We also discussed ways to develop our bilateral cooperation," Sibiha wrote in "Ex".
