A Delta Air Lines plane caught fire at Orlando International Airport, USA, CNN reported, reports News.bg.
The incident occurred as a result of an ignition in the exhaust pipe of one of the two engines of an Airbus A330 plane preparing for a flight to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. There were 282 passengers on board, who were promptly evacuated.
Delta reports that the crew followed all prescribed safety procedures and acted quickly when flames appeared.
There is no information about injured passengers.
„We appreciate the cooperation of our customers and apologize for the experience. "Nothing is more important than safety," the airline said. They assured that passengers would be transported to their final destination on other aircraft.
Maintenance teams are currently conducting a thorough inspection of the crashed aircraft.
