Tehran: We will not be afraid of Trump, we do not negotiate under pressure - 1

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran would not negotiate over its nuclear program under pressure and intimidation, as US President Donald Trump increased pressure on Tehran.

Araghchi wrote on the X platform that Iran's nuclear program was limited to civilian purposes and that there was no "potential militarization" from it.

Trump has sought to increase pressure on Tehran by reinstating sanctions that had barred Iraq from buying electricity from Iran.

Iran's mission to the United Nations said on Sunday that Tehran may be open to talks with the United States over its nuclear program and its restrictions on civilian use, but not on a complete dismantling of the program.

Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has reinstated his "maximum pressure" policy on Iran, reinstating sweeping sanctions aimed at destroying Iran's oil industry.

Iran has supplied Iraq with a third of its gas and electricity needs.
