US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard confirmed that the pause in intelligence sharing with Ukraine has ended, Ukrinform reported, referring to her publication on the "Ex" platform, BTA reports.
"Thanks to the leadership of US President Donald Trump, we are one significant step closer to ending the bloody war in Ukraine. "At the direction of the President, the pause in intelligence sharing with Ukraine has ended," Gabbard wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, on March 5, Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe said that the United States had suspended intelligence cooperation and military assistance to Ukraine, but at the same time confirmed Washington's intention to work with the Ukrainian side to lift the restrictions.
Yesterday, talks between representatives of Ukraine and the United States were held in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Ukraine expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary 30-day ceasefire, which could be extended by mutual agreement, provided that Russia accepts it and simultaneously complies with it. The joint statement after the talks in Jeddah emphasized that the United States would lift the pause in intelligence sharing with Ukraine and resume military assistance.
