Zelensky: Putin is lying that the ceasefire is too complicated - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "lying" when he says that the 30-day ceasefire proposed by Kiev and Washington is "complicated", reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by NOVA.

"Putin is lying about the ceasefire being supposedly too complicated. In reality, everything can be controlled and we discussed this with the Americans“, Zelensky said in "Ex".

„There is a very high chance that the bloody war will end”: Trump announced that the talks with Putin were fruitful

At a press conference in Kiev, the Ukrainian president indicated that the territorial issue in the war is "complex" and should be discussed in detail at a later date. "The United States raised this issue at the meeting in Jeddah. They heard the Ukrainian position. Our position is that we do not recognize the occupied Ukrainian territories as Russian under any circumstances," Zelensky said.

Zelensky accused Moscow of delaying negotiations on a 30-day ceasefire proposed by Kiev and Washington in order to strengthen its positions on the battlefield. "They want stronger positions before the ceasefire. The delay in the process is related to the fact that they want to improve their positions on the battlefield, he added.

Meanwhile, the president has created a delegation to lead the "negotiation process for achieving a just peace" with Russia, according to a decree published by Kiev today.

According to the decree, the head of the presidential administration Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and the deputy head of the presidential administration Pavlo Palisa will form this team, which will interact with Ukraine's international partners.

These four officials made up the Ukrainian delegation to the talks with the United States, which took place this week in Saudi Arabia, and which resulted in a proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
