Russian air defense systems destroyed 31 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
16 of them were shot down over the territory of the Voronezh region, 9 over the territory of the Belgorod region, 5 over the territory of the Rostov region and 1 over the territory of the Kursk region“, the Ministry of Defense reported.
Early this morning, three people, including a 7-year-old child, were injured in the Ukrainian attack in the Belgorod region, reported on "Telegram" governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, quoted by BTA.
Alexander Gusev, governor of the southwestern Russian Voronezh region, said on "Telegram" that air defense forces had destroyed 16 Ukrainian drones. There were no reports of casualties or material damage so far, Gusev added.
The acting governor of the southern Russian Rostov region also reported that a Ukrainian drone attack had been repelled that night. No injuries or damage have been reported so far.
Ukrainian authorities have reported several strikes by Russian drones, including in the northern Chernihiv region, where firefighters are battling flames engulfing a high-rise building hit by a Russian drone.
According to Ukrainian media, explosions were heard in the capital Kiev area overnight after the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a potential drone attack in Kiev and several central regions. There are currently no reports of injuries or damage in the Ukrainian capital area.
