Iran told the UN Security Council last night that US President Donald Trump and other US officials had made “reckless and provocative statements“ that made “unfounded accusations” and threats of force have been made against Tehran, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
“Iran resolutely and categorically rejects any accusations of violating relevant Security Council resolutions on the arms embargo on Yemen or engaging in any destabilizing activities in the region“, Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, wrote in the letter seen by Reuters.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Air Force said a US reconnaissance drone had withdrawn from an area near Iranian airspace after Iranian F-14 fighter jets and reconnaissance drones targeted it, the Iranian newspaper “Noornews“ reported.
