Yemeni Houthis condemned Israel's strikes on the Gaza Strip and announced continued military escalation in support of the Palestinian people. This was stated in a statement by the political office of the rebel movement "Ansar Allah".

„We condemn in the strongest terms the resumption of the criminal Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip and the commission of new horrific massacres.

We reiterate that Yemen and its armed forces will continue their military escalation in support of Gaza and the Palestinian people until the aggression stops and the blockade is lifted," the statement said.

US forces have struck the Houthi-controlled capital of Yemen, Sanaa, Al Masirah TV reported.

According to Al Hadath and Sky News Arabia TV channels, explosions were heard throughout the city. According to Al Hadath sources, the strikes targeted Houthi military facilities, including “secret weapons depots“ located in the western part of Sanaa.

Meanwhile, Yemeni Houthis launched a third strike on the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea in 48 hours in response to US strikes in Yemen, rebel spokesman Yahya Sariyah reported on his Telegram channel.

The attack was reportedly carried out with two cruise missiles and two drones. The Houthis also hit a US destroyer with a cruise missile and four drones.

Sariyah said on March 16 that the USS Harry Truman and its accompanying ships were attacked using 18 ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as a drone. He said the Houthis would continue to attack US warships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and block Israeli merchant ships from the Bab el-Mandeb Strait until Israel resumes humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip.

On March 15, the US military, under the order of President Donald Trump, began carrying out massive strikes on territory in Yemen controlled by the Houthis. The operation is aimed at protecting US interests and ensuring freedom of navigation, the US Central Command said.
