The name of the Bulgarian who died in an attack on a UN position in the Gaza Strip is Marin Marinov, De Re Militari reported.
The information about him was released earlier, but was not confirmed. He worked as a humanitarian worker at a UN office in Deir Al-Balah, which was targeted during the wave of strikes in the area carried out by the Israeli army. Five of his colleagues were injured.
A shot of the building that housed UN employees in Deir Al-Balah in the Gaza Strip, where Bulgarian Marin Marinov was killed. Location of the building: 31°24'03"N 34°20'07"E.
Information from the shell fragments is consistent with an Israeli M339 tank shell. Military activity data in the area also confirms the presence of Israeli army artillery and tanks. The damage to the building is consistent with the type of damage that would result from the use of such a weapon.
