According to administration sources, Walz added Atlantic Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg to an Encrypted Signal Group Chat Called the "Houthi PC Small Group". The chat included senior officials including Defense Secretary Pete Hegsett, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. The incident has sparked intense discussions at the White House about Walz's future. Some officials believe he should resign to avoid embarrassing the president. Others, however, have expressed support for him, with House Speaker Mike Johnson calling Walz "extremely qualified" and "trustworthy." White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said President Trump continues to have the "greatest confidence" in his national security team, including Walz.
