European countries are practically exempt from the cases of Ukraine, the Yemeni Houthis and NATO, US President Donald Trump told journalists at the White House.
He was asked whether he agreed with the opinion of Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who said that Europe lives at the expense of the United States. "Do you really want me to answer? Yes, I think the European countries are unloading. The European Union is treating us absolutely terribly", the American president stressed. As an example, he cited the situation in Ukraine, Yemen and NATO allies.
The head of state once again criticized his predecessor Joe Biden. "I do not blame Europe for all this. "I blame Biden for not forcing them to be on par with us," Trump said.
He again announced his intention to impose retaliatory tariffs on imports from a number of countries on April 2.
