Direct negotiations with the US on the Iranian nuclear program "will not make any sense", Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said today, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.
His statement is in response to the proposal of US President Donald Trump, who demanded that Washington and Tehran start direct negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program and threatened to bomb the country if diplomatic efforts fail.
"Direct negotiations with a country that constantly threatens to use force and that expresses contradictory positions through various officials would not make any sense", he said today Aragchi, quoted in a statement from the Ministry he heads.
