Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called for stronger pressure on Russia following missile and drone attacks on Kiev and other cities in Ukraine, DPA and Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.
"These attacks are (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's response to all international diplomatic efforts. Each of our partners - the United States, all of Europe, the whole world - saw that Russia intends to continue the war and killings. That is why the pressure cannot weaken. All efforts must be directed towards ensuring security and bringing peace closer," Zelensky wrote in "Ex". "The pressure on Russia is still insufficient, and the daily Russian strikes on Ukraine prove it.
Last night, ballistic missiles were fired at Kiev, and drones attacked the area. The strikes also affected the Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions," he added, stressing that Russian forces have used over 1,460 guided bombs, almost 670 attack drones and over 30 missiles of various types against Ukraine in the past week.
According to Zelensky, the number of air strikes is increasing. This, he said, reveals Russia's true intentions - to continue its campaign of terror as long as the world allows it.
"Every strike is aimed at our people, our children. They are waging a war against children playing on playgrounds. I express my condolences to all the families and relatives of the victims. "I thank all our services who are helping and saving Ukrainians," Zelensky said.
