The memorandum on the Ukrainian-American agreement on mineral resources has been signed, announced First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
"Today we took a step towards a joint agreement with the United States on economic partnership. Ukraine and the United States signed a memorandum confirming the constructive joint work of our teams and the intention to conclude an agreement that will benefit both our peoples," she wrote on her Facebook page.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the countries are preparing to create an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine. According to her, the future agreement will open up opportunities for the injection of significant funds and modernization of Ukrainian infrastructure.
"The work on the text of the agreement and its signing are pending. And then - ratification by the parliaments. I thank our technical teams - Ukrainian and American - for their professional, constructive and fast work," Sviridenko concluded.
