The Palestinian Hamas movement confirmed last night that it had sent a negotiating delegation to Egypt to continue consultations on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The radical organization's statement was published on Hamas's Telegram channel.
„A Hamas delegation led by Khalil al-Heya /b.r. (leader of the movement in Gaza/ left today /b.r. on Saturday/ for Cairo at the invitation of the Egyptian side“, the statement said.
The radicals added that representatives of the movement are expected to discuss "reaching a ceasefire agreement with negotiators from Egypt and Qatar" during the consultations in Cairo.
