The Ukrainian army has successfully struck a permanent location of the 448th missile brigade of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, which is responsible for the missile attack on the city of Sumy on April 13, Tsvetnitsa, Ukrinform reported, citing a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, BTA reports.
"Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other parts of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, attacked a number of facilities in the Kursk region associated with war criminals who participated in the missile attack on Sumy and other crimes against the Ukrainian people," the statement reads, which was posted on "Facebook" .
The main target was hit – the permanent location of the 448th missile brigade of the Russian Armed Forces.
On April 13, Russian forces fired two "Iskander-M" (KN-23) ballistic missiles at the center of the city of Sumy. The attack killed 35 people, including two children. 129 people were injured, 15 of whom were children. Health Minister Viktor Lyashko said that 11 of the injured, including three children, remain in serious condition.
