Zelensky on the ceasefire: The dictator's promise did not reach the Kursk and Belgorod regions, the fighting continues - 1

"On April 19, the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced an "Easter truce". However, in a number of areas, the fighting and shelling are still continuing".

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and gave as an example the Kursk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, to which "Putin's statements have not spread"

"The fighting continues, the Russian strikes continue. In some directions of the front, Russian artillery continues to echo, not the promise of a ceasefire by the Russian leader. Russian drones are being used. In some areas it is quieter," the head of state said.

Zelensky stressed that the actions of the Ukrainian army "are and will be mirror images." He added that the proposal for a 30-day complete and unconditional ceasefire is still on the table, and Moscow has not yet given an answer.

"Ukraine, together with our partners, is ready to move towards peace in the most constructive way possible, but Russia must be ready. The most important thing is that now it is obvious who was the real reason for the war all this time. As soon as Putin really ordered to reduce the number and severity of strikes, hostilities and killings became less. The only source of this war and its prolongation is in Russia," the Ukrainian president said.
