Volodymyr Zelensky: Proposal to end strikes on civilian infrastructure remains on the table - 1

Ukraine's proposal to end strikes on civilian infrastructure remains on the table, but it requires a real willingness from Russia to engage in dialogue, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote today in the "Telegram" application, quoted by Ukrinform, reports BTA.

There are no obstacles from the Ukrainian side and there will be none in the future, he added.

Zelensky added that a rescue operation was organized in Kharkiv after Russian drone strikes. "A cynical strike. Fires are burning in several areas of the city," the Ukrainian president added.

He recalled the airstrike on the city of Zaporizhia, where one woman was killed and more than 20 people, including four children, were injured. Residential buildings were also destroyed in the attack.

"At night, Russian drones hit Odessa. During the day, there were strikes against Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk and our southern regions. All this is deliberate Russian terror, which can be stopped with just one order - an order in Russia for the Russian army. Easter proved this when there were no air raid sirens in Ukraine," Zelensky stressed.

He recalled that Kiev had proposed extending the Easter truce and turning it into a full ceasefire.

"Our proposal for a ceasefire against civilian infrastructure also remains on the table. What is needed is a real willingness from Russia to participate in this dialogue. There are and will be no obstacles from Ukraine," the president said.
