The Ukrainian capital Kiev and the city of Kharkiv were subjected to massive Russian strikes with missiles and drones this night, in which at least 21 people were injured, including a child, reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
“Kiev is under attack by enemy missiles“, wrote the military authorities in the Ukrainian capital on their “Telegram“ channel.
The city's mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that a three-year-old child was hospitalized as a result of the attack. He then added that at least 21 people were injured in the Ukrainian capital.
Military authorities initially reported material damage in at least two districts of the city and urged residents to seek shelter.
AFP journalists heard loud explosions echoing around the city and the sound of drones flying overhead.
The last Russian missile attack on Kiev was carried out at the beginning of the month.
Kharkov Mayor Igor Terekhov announced that the city had been hit by "multiple missile strikes," without reporting any casualties at the time.
