Zelensky on London meeting: Emotions were strong

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that the talks on Ukraine in London were marked by emotions, and expressed hope that future joint work would lead to peace, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

„Emotions today /b.r. yesterday/ were strong. However, it is good that five countries came together to bring peace closer“, Zelensky wrote on the social network “Ex“.

„The American side shared its vision. Ukraine and other European countries presented their views“, he added.

The Ukrainian president declared that Ukraine will always follow the provisions of its constitution, and expressed hope that Kiev's Western partners, including the United States, will “act in accordance with it“.

This was a reference to US criticism of Zelensky's statement that recognizing Russia's control over the Crimean peninsula contradicts Ukraine's constitution, Reuters points out.
