Trump's words that the question of whose Crimea is is not up for discussion are fully consistent with the position of the Russian Federation. This was stated at a briefing by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, TASS reported.
President Vladimir Putin wants to achieve peace while guaranteeing Russia's interests, and this is a mandatory condition, Peskov stressed. The Kremlin considers the idea of the "coalition of the willing" to deploy peacekeeping forces in Ukraine unacceptable and posing a critical threat.
"As for discussions on deploying military contingents on the territory of Ukraine, this is absolutely unacceptable for us. This poses a critical threat to all European and global security," he stressed.
The Kremlin sees disagreements and "problems with convergence of positions" among the participants in the meeting on Ukraine in London. Moscow cannot and will not comment on leaks related to the alleged peace plan of US President Donald Trump, Peskov said.
"We cannot and do not want to comment on any leaks related to the alleged details of the alleged plan," a Kremlin spokesman said.
