A statement from the Russian department said that strikes were carried out on factories in Ukraine working in the fields of aviation, astronautics, mechanical engineering and armored vehicles, as well as on facilities for the production of rocket fuel and gunpowder.
Reuters notes that it cannot verify the veracity of the information reported by the Russian ministry.
Ukrainian officials said today that Russia had attacked Kiev overnight with missiles and drones, killing at least eight people and wounding more than 70. Buildings were also reported to have been destroyed in the biggest attack on the Ukrainian capital this year.
