Russian night attacks on Kiev, Kharkiv and larger cities in Ukraine are set to intensify amid Washington's announcement of the Crimea-obsessed Zelensky as the main, if not the only, culprit for the lack of a peace agreement.
Last night, Trump was extremely clear in his direct "right godfather" style - "When they took Crimea from you 11 years ago, why didn't you fight for it, but surrendered it without firing a shot, and now you're stubborn? We have a deal with the Russians, with Ukraine we thought it would be easier, but it turned out to be more difficult".
"Zelensky is on the wrong track", White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt sang to him.
What is the purpose of the Russian attacks on major cities?
The capture of the Kiev government in the press, after the US assessment of Zelensky's group is clear.
The civilian casualties should further demoralize the people who have been going crazy for three years with the wailing of sirens, funerals and terror, further set them against Zelensky and his ilk, and create a favorable environment for accepting the unacceptable - that is, a collective "fuck them in the territories where the Russians want them, it's better for our children to survive".
And if Zelensky does not run, the internal his opposition to force him to do so or simply eliminate him.
Certainly no one would want to be in his place.
He will definitely go down in history, but whether as a great martyr and the "likable loser" or as the main culprit for the carnage to continue, as Washington and Moscow portray it, remains to be seen.
