We will learn what they should be from Dr. Mina Saleva, Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the Medical University of Sofia, Alexandrovska Hospital:
"During the winter months, due to low temperatures and low humidity, the skin requires a little more hydration, nails and hair are also affected by these temperature differences.
Therefore, it is important during this period to use slightly more intensive creams that restore hydration, advised Dr. Saleva, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio.
She recommended a healthy diet with fiber, vegetables, fruits, vitamins C, A and E. Use milder soaps, dermatological ones, do not use very hot water for bathing and then apply hydration, and when outside, protect yourself with hats and gloves, and apply cream to your hands twice a day.
Atopic dermatitis worsens in this cold season. In the cold season, laser hair removal and skin peels can be applied because there is less sun, and photoprotection is also used in winter, the dermatologist explained.
