The French automotive site L'Argus published a new photo of the new Renault Austral 2025 model year. The compact crossover will undergo an update and will be launched on the market in June.
We will recall that the Renault Austral crossover has been produced since 2022 and with its appearance replaced the Kadjar model. Now the time has come for its planned modernization.
The photo shows that the new Renault Austral is becoming similar to its older brother Rafale and the electric crossover Scenic. Its front design is more aggressive than before.
The radiator grille is significantly wider, and the lights are thinner. The bumpers and taillights have also been updated. The interior of the Renault Austral is not shown, but it is unlikely to undergo major changes.
Crossovers may improve the interior decoration slightly, but the engine range will change more radically. All versions of the model will be electrified, so the car will become much more economical.
The Renault Austral 2025 crossover will receive a 1.2-liter gasoline turbo engine with a 48-volt "mild" hybrid installation. This powertrain is familiar from the new Duster and develops 130 hp there, but versions with 140 and 160 hp will be offered for the Austral.
The largest hybrid for the model - the E-Tech with 200 horsepower will not change. And one more curious thing. The 4x4 drive from the Rafale will not be installed here. All modifications will remain front-wheel drive.
