The National Revenue Agency (NRA) has created the NRA Mobile application, through which each customer can check whether the receipt issued to them by the merchant is genuine. To do this, the user scans the QR code on the receipt with the application.
For the first two months of the year, 40,000 receipts were scanned with the application and not a single one was counterfeit, the Agency specifies.
The application displays the purchase value encoded in it, the date and time of issuance of the receipt, as well as its number. The fiscal memory of the cash register is also indicated. The customer can compare whether the data printed on the receipt and those indicated on the mobile application match or differ.
If a fake receipt is detected, the application has a function for direct contact with the National Revenue Agency to report the violation.
