„Bella Bulgaria“, the domestic pasta manufacturer with a leading role in the food sector internationally, has successfully passed certification under the latest version of the international food safety standard — IFS Food Standard 8.
It was created to encourage the continuous improvement of companies, as well as the implementation of the latest generation technological developments. In this sense, the eighth version sets a new standard that aims to build a dynamic food safety culture.
The company also demonstrated a new large-scale modernization with latest generation machines and technologies and a new expansion of the production capacity for pasta products.
The company's factory for pasta factory in Svilengrad has been fully modernized and automated, with four production lines, two shock spiral tunnels “Frigoskandia“ and an automatic cartoning machine PATYN. This leads to an increase in production capacity by 12,000 tons per year.

In parallel, the “Bella Bulgaria“ factory in Yambol has also undergone significant technological modernization. The new solutions allow increasing the capacity for the production of pasta products by another 17,000 tons. per year, mainly in the production of puff pastry and chilled pizza dough.
Thus, with the total increase in the company's production capacity by an additional 29,000 tons in dough products, the total capacity increases to 60,000 tons per year.

RSPO SCC Standard and RSPO Market Communications and Claims – in connection with the use of sustainable palm oil;
ISO 14001:2015 – for environmental management;
HALAL standards – for the production of products for different ethnic markets;
Rainforest Alliance and Cocoa Products MB module – for products with certified cocoa ingredients;
Secondary audits by leading European retail chains – confirm compliance with the agreed specifications and quality requirements.
Innovations and partnerships with global brands
With innovative technological innovations, international certifications and strategic partnerships, “Bella Bulgaria“ strengthens its position as a reliable and sustainable manufacturer in the food industry. The company is also expanding its product portfolio through innovative vegan solutions, including new pastry products under the BELLA brand. One of them is in partnership with „Nestle Bulgaria“ – patties with vegan minced meat, created with the idea of responsible consumption and the growing demand for alternative protein products.
The company also introduced a second joint product with „Nestle Bulgaria“ – patty with KitKat filling, which quickly aroused consumer interest.
The pastry products of „Bella Bulgaria“ under own and private labels are offered in all key markets through the company's direct contacts with leading European retailers such as Mercadona (Spain), Schwarz Group – Lidl (Germany) and Kaufland International (Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia and Germany), Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord, REWE and Tesco (Central Europe).
