Lyubomir Alamanov in front of FACTS: GERB are intensifying the chaos so that they can rule without being responsible - 1

With 98 votes "for", 138 "against" and 2 "abstained“ the parliament did not elect Rosen Zhelyazkov as prime minister. 238 people's representatives had registered in the hall. The surprise during the voting was that only 30 MPs from DPS supported the GERB mandate, 14 from the party were "against" and 1 "abstained". On Monday, Zhelyazkov received from President Rumen Radev the folder with the first exploratory mandate and immediately returned it fulfilled, announcing the structure and composition of his proposed Council of Ministers, which included a deputy prime minister and 19 ministers. Now it is the turn of the president again, who will next hand the DPS the second mandate. Do we have regular office options? Lyubomir Alamanov, PR expert and managing director of the "Site Media" agency, spoke to FAKTI.

- Mr. Alamanov, Rosen Zhelyazkov will not be the next prime minister. After over 3 hours of pointless debate, 138 votes in the room stopped him? Expected or not…
- For many, this result was fully expected. On the one hand, the very composition of the proposed government was strange and loaded with many negatives. The names of:
may be mentioned • Temenuzka Petkova and the Road Map case study;
• Nikolay Nankov and his apparent resignation due to the serious accident on the road to Svoge, as well as the scheme to distribute billions of BGN without public procurement for the supply of materials to private companies, concealing real construction;
• Kostadin Angelov and the total failure to deal with the Covid pandemic, because during his time Bulgaria reached the top places in terms of mortality in the world.

These names, as well as others, were one of the reasons for the beginning of the protests and all the revelations to what extent the state is controlled. There is no way a reasonable person would think that anyone would vote for such a cabinet. Such a composition is proposed, only to blow up the conversation and be rejected, but with an attempt to shift the blame for the failure to others.
On the other hand, the only reliable partner of GERB - DPS, is going through difficult times. Delyan Peevski is in an obvious conflict with Ahmed Dogan and this affected the support for the draft cabinet. For the first time in history, the DPS parliamentary group is divided in its voting - 30 votes “for“ and 15 votes “against”. This sealed the end of GERB's seventh consecutive failed attempt to form a government.

It should also be mentioned the behavior of GERB, which was extremely arrogant, flattering from requests to threats, which did not look like a normal search for parliamentary support, but rather was the beginning of new insults for the new election campaign. strong>

All this clearly indicates that GERB submitted their proposal with the clear idea that it would not be approved. And once again they wasted the state's time in these difficult times.

- Each party in the parliament says how it will not support someone, but not how it will work for the state. Why?
- There can be work for the state only with some kind of understanding and some kind of majority to vote on the laws. Three groups of parties are still observed. Anti-European who want us to go as far east as possible and break with western democracy. Democratic, who want us to resolutely confirm our civilizational choice to be part of Western democracy, as well as to make the necessary reforms so that we can have a state of law in which the institutions do their job and are not clubs against the inconvenient. And kleptocratic who want no changes to continue making their schemes and “absorb“ the funds.

It is very difficult to form a majority between these groups.

Only PP and DB tried, once with the anti-European parties (the Petkov government), and the second time with the kleptocratic parties (the Denkov government). Both times, some of these two groups sabotaged and failed the majority and thus normal government. No one else was able to form a government. This should be an earring for politicians.
But also to clearly show voters which parties they are voting for. And that voters should take responsibility, not vote in spite of themselves, but try to choose parties that can lead the country out of this hole we are in.

- Toshko Yordanov once again spoke about the third mandate and expert cabinet. How possible is it?
- Behind the words “expert“ cabinet hides a refusal to accept responsibility. “Expert office“ with a third mandate was that of Lyuben Berov, when the foundations of the mafia in Bulgaria were laid. And no one took responsibility for this process. Whoever votes for some cabinet, he is responsible for it and immediately turns it into a normal “political“ cabinet. Whatever spells the “non-experts“ do.

- DPS is shaking, and we heard from them that they will support each of the three mandates. How do you feel about this?
- Apparently internal processes are going on in DPS, maybe we have to wait to see what the final result of them will be. And apparently someone in the DPS has a great desire to have a regular office right now, regardless of the price.
It will be interesting if the president gives the third term to “Revival” and they propose a cabinet, whether the DPS will support it. It is also interesting what will happen if the DPS group breaks up and the PP-DB group becomes the second largest. Then the PP-DB should receive the mandate, which perhaps no one expected.

- For the first time, the DPS did not vote unanimously. Is this the new beginning of the party…
- More like internal struggles and redistribution of power. DPS voters have always been calm, conservative people, and perhaps at some point they won't particularly like the forceful way in which changes are forced upon them. The future lies ahead and holds many possibilities.

- Borisov threatened that GERB-SDS will not support another mandate? What's next…
- For the seventh time in a row, GERB failed to form a government.

At the same time, they continue to maintain a horribly toxic environment, solely to disgust people and reduce voter turnout to cover up their catastrophic decline in absolute votes.

After they refused to adopt the necessary laws and reforms in the last parliament, which put an end to the “assembly” instead of doing the rotation, they have no other idea but to toss the country from one election to another. And during this time to rule through official offices. Let's not forget how the only person not related to them was removed from the list of possible caretaker Prime Ministers. And possibly to “assimilate“ some other fund at that time. GERDs amplify the chaos so they can rule without being held accountable. We are doomed to this nightmare until the voters wake up and go en masse to vote for a normal democratic party.

- How much longer will we go to elections?
- Until Borisov and Peevski get a good enough result to manage themselves. Or until voters get fed up and vote to change the political picture. Everything is in the hands of the voters.
