This was commented by GERB-SDS MP Toma Bykov in an interview with BNR minutes after he was again not elected chairman of the 51st National Assembly.
"On the other side we have innovation if we can find one. Who will find it? This prime minister, if he can do it, is ours, if he doesn't, it's yours. We played this for 9 months, he added, referring to the assembly. And stated that GERB-SDS will not support Assoc. Dr. Silvi Kirilov, ITN candidate for the chairman of the National Assembly.
Bikov is adamant that this parliament has no other chance than this 4-way formula, which is "quite complicated and I don't know how possible it is for the intellectual capacity of those who we have said should participate in it" ;.
He pointed out that everything can change because the National Assembly is in a helpless state and intellectually unable to get out. And he stated that GERB-SDS will not support the candidate for the chairman of the National Assembly of ITN Silvi Kirilov.
"What happened today is news. We saw that the final result of the maneuvers of the PP-DB was that their parliamentary group split during the vote, split - 19 on one side, 18 on the other. Colleagues from the PP supported a candidate supported by "Vazrazhdane". DB said that they will not vote together with "Vazrazhdane". This is a serious distinction, because the PP said "we are ready to be together with "Vazrazhdane" rather than with GERB-SDS, because they did not vote for our candidate, but for a candidate supported by "Vazrazhdane". commented Toma Bykov.
He predicts that this split in the PP-DB group – the second political force, will not solve the political crisis, but will intensify it.
"What leadership meeting are we talking about? Who is the leader of the PP – Kiril Petkov, Asen Vasilev or Nikolay Denkov? When some actions start, Asen Vasilev goes to the TV studio and undermines the process. He has a different motivation and is working for new elections," Toma Bykov believes.
"If this process continues, I don't know how they will continue with the strategies and even more fragmentation and the chances of a stable majority are diminishing. And they decrease and representative democracy in its inability to function. We are on the verge of abolishing this type of system. I personally don't have a single argument to defend this political system," added Bykov.
