Keremedchiev on Schengen: There will be control, but it will be moved to the interior of the country  - 1

Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Milen Keremedchiev and the Vice-Rector of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Assoc. Milen Ivanov discussed on Nova TV whether Bulgaria will enter Schengen by land and what will change.
The two are of the opinion that even if Bulgaria is accepted into space, there will be inspections, but they will be inside the country.

„You will be able to freely pass, say, one of the checkpoints with Greece, but 5 km after that – whether on Bulgarian or Greek territory, there will be a patrol that may stop you. That is, there will be control, but it will be moved to the interior of the country and there will be no queues at the borders. Heavy traffic will gain the most from this”, Keremedchiev explained.

“A high-level meeting is coming up on December 12, and a final decision must be made there. However, there is another question mark - the parliament in the Netherlands will again discuss whether Bulgaria should be accepted, Keremedchiev also claims.

According to Assoc. Ivanov Schengen creates a series of political problems.
