Ukraine is an important partner for Bulgaria in regional cooperation in the Black Sea region. This was stated by the Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimira Stoyanova during a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria H.E. Olesya Ilashchuk.
„Together with all the responsible institutions, we are working on facilitating freight transport and finding the fastest logistics routes along the country's railway, port, road and river networks,” added the Minister of Transport. She noted that together with the neighboring countries, free traffic is ensured to preserve the normal functioning of supply chains from and to Ukraine.
Among the topics of conversation was the provision of the unhindered movement of Ukrainian goods to the EU along the Solidarity Corridors in Bulgaria and the use of permits for road transport of goods. Minister Stoyanova explained that the permits for 2025 have already been granted to the Ukrainian side, and the unused permits for 2024. are valid until the end of January 2025.
