More than 20 years ago, Yuliana Doncheva entered politics with the NMSV. She ran for mayor twice - of Sofia and Veliko Tarnovo. She is also a journalist, author and businesswoman.
„Lack of experience is very decisive when you enter politics. You think that things will definitely happen the way you thought. However, you encounter many interesting situations and phenomena that disappoint you. You understand that things are not the way you initially thought“, Yuliana Doncheva said in “120 minutes”.
„My final in politics was a huge disappointment for me, because the mechanisms are different. When you don't fit into a system, it simply throws you out. That's why many people who we think are extremely suitable for politicians stay out of politics because they see that this is the place where they have to step over their principles“, Doncheva also said.
It's very difficult to defend policies and you always have to comply with some kind of party-wide decision. Individualism is not advisable, and I'm a free person“, she also shared.
