A woman died at the “Bezbog“ hut in Pirin, and mountain rescuers helped transport the body to the “Gotse Delchev“ hut, the Mountain Rescue Service (MSS) announced. There is an asphalt road to the “Gotse Delchev“ hut and the body was handed over to the health authorities.

This is a tourist from Samokov, 50 years old. She had a heart attack at night in the hut, after being in the mountains all day, bTV reported.

Mountain rescuers have participated in a total of three actions to provide assistance to injured tourists over the past 24 hours, the MSS announced to BTA.

In another case, a man suffered a heart attack in the Balkan Mountains above the village of Shipka. Six rescuers from the Kazanlak unit went to him, who transported him and handed him over to an emergency team.

The MES team has no information about his current condition after handing him over to the health authorities.

The Sofia MES team conducted an operation to provide assistance to two people in the area of the Murgash shelter.

Two people with ATVs and without appropriate winter equipment got stuck and sought help from the mountain service, which responded. The mountain rescuers transported them to a safe place.

The MES team informs that the conditions for tourism and winter sports are good. Temperatures in the mountains vary between -1° and -6°.

The Mountain Rescue Service warns that due to the strong wind yesterday there is snow drifting on the northern and northeastern slopes, the avalanche warning remains in effect.
