The ski season above Sofia officially begins with the opening, announced by "Vitosha Ski", BTA reported.
The lifts "Vitoshko Lale 1" and "Vitoshko Lale 2", "Mecha Polyana", "Training Track" are planned to operate and “Vitosha Snowpark“.
Until December 30, inclusive, the facilities will operate every day from 9:00 to 16:00, after which they will reopen on January 2 and will operate without a day off until the end of the season, under favorable weather conditions, “Vitosha Ski“ said.
The forecasts are for snowfall and low temperatures in the coming days and good skiing conditions are expected after the holidays, they said.
This season, the ”Vitosha Tulip“ track will also be open for skiing in the evening, with this planned to happen after the New Year. The descents will be possible from Wednesday to Saturday, inclusive, said "Vitosha Ski".
A lift pass for 6 non-consecutive days will now be offered on Vitosha, the organizers also announced. The pass will be valid for the entire season.
