„We have data that there is a system for influencing magistrates. Unfortunately, however, we do not have public information about the successful conduct and investigation. From these data it follows that there is actually a system for manipulating the results of cases, of files“.
This was said on bTV by Atanaska Disheva, who is a member of the Supreme Judicial Council from the judicial college.
She stated that this contradicts the idea of random selection of magistrates and of an objective investigation.
Disheva added that sometimes even pressure from one magistrate can have an influence on those who are on the sidelines.
“I have heard from many of my colleagues, I have also experienced it myself - what effect such an attack against one magistrate has on the others. Intimidation in most cases can be stronger for those who stand on the sidelines and observe the process“, she also stated.
