Christian Vigenin will run for BSP chairman - 1

The deputy head of the BSP and MEP Christian Vigenin will run for chairman of the party in the upcoming vote in February. He announced this himself at a meeting with journalists for the start of the New Year.

"I have good ideas about what and how can be done in the party and I will count on having a positive conversation in the coming weeks about what the BSP should be", he said.

So far, the other deputy chairman, who heads the interim leadership, Atanas Zafirov, the co-chairman of the parliamentary group Borislav Gutsanov, as well as Kaloyan Pargov, former head of the largest BSP organization in Sofia, have officially announced their candidacies. Nominations are also being received from the structures. The Red Congress will convene on February 15, and the internal party vote is scheduled for February 22.

"It is important for the BSP to be strong, for Bulgaria to have a strong left that is corrective and provides policies in the name of the people", commented Vigenin.

He and his team greeted the journalists with amulets to keep evil forces away from them and for the positive to prevail throughout the year, against falsehood in politics and life.
