An 18-year-old worker has died after falling from scaffolding on a newly constructed residential building in Pleven, NOVA learned.
Sources from the Ministry of Interior confirmed the incident, which occurred around 6:00 p.m. For reasons that are unclear at this time, the worker fell from a height corresponding to the second floor and is resting. An inspection is being carried out at the scene, and a referral to the District Prosecutor's Office is pending.
The Labor Inspectorate will also check how and when the employee was hired, whether he had all the necessary documents, whether he had protective clothing.
