Minister Gutsanov: Social payments are guaranteed, taxes will not be increased - 1

There will be no compromise in the social sphere and for social payments, there will be no increase in taxes and there will be no people who will be deprived of social services that they have received so far. The payment of increased pensions is also guaranteed, as voted by the National Assembly. 9 billion leva have been allocated in the budget for this purpose. This was stated in Plovdiv by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Borislav Gutsanov, BTA reports.

He is participating in the National Conference of the Employment Agency and representatives of labor offices from all over the country.

„My goal is to pay more attention to labor and then to the social part in the ministry, so that people can have peace of mind that they have jobs. That is why my first meetings were with the unions and employer organizations to ensure this. There will be no disruptions in the social sphere of the country's development,“ said the Minister of Labor and Social Policy.

He added that today the program “I'm starting work – Component 3 “Employment“ is being launched, which is implemented under the “Human Resources Development” Program 2021-2027 by the Employment Agency. Under this program, about 14,000 temporary jobs will be provided, after which 10,000 of them will be permanently employed with employment contracts in all areas. The program is oriented towards the inactive, the unemployed and people who, for some reason, are unable to work. "This is a very good thing and we are looking for people because it turns out that there are about 200,000-300,000 people who do not participate in these work processes, whether because of lower education or for some other reason. There cannot be so many Bulgarians who remain outside of public life and this program will help a lot", Gutsanov was categorical.

According to him, it would be nice for the good dialogue with employers to continue in the areas of linking the labor market with higher and secondary education, because there is a need for personnel in some fields, and it turns out that there are no such trained ones. In his words, this connection should first be made first in secondary education, and then in higher education, because there is a lack of personnel in entire fields. According to Gutsanov, a complete combination will be made between the MLSP, the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) and the real economy.

Regarding the salaries of those working in employment and social assistance agencies, Minister Gutsanov said that they will try to ensure that there are no such differences between the agencies and that a regulation of salaries in these units will be made through internal transfers. A way will be found for people to receive the necessary remuneration, because there should be no working poor, the minister said.
