Moskov: In the government and in the opposition are united around the narrative Let's spend some morе money - 1

A center-left government that has a center-left parliamentary opposition.

This is how Dr. Petar Moskov, leader of the KOD party, part of the "Blue Bulgaria" coalition, and Minister of Health from the Reformist Bloc in the second government of Boyko Borisov (2014 - 2017), described the political situation in the country in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio.

He emphasized that for the union he represents, the only point of having a regular government is for it to be right-wing reformist, but in this National Assembly "such a configuration is impossible":

"The participants in the government and in the opposition are hostages of radically different ideas about the development of the world, united around the narrative "Let's spend some more money!". ... GERB and PP have no difference in how socialism should be practiced, but who should practice it and to whom the breadwinners should be grateful in the next elections. In the end, it will turn out that the euro is to blame. That is why this dispute about the budget is criminal. And since the euro is to blame, we should not take it".

We have a false conversation that will lead to the shaming of one of Bulgaria's strategic goals - the eurozone, believes the leader of KOD.
"We live in the false sands of the political reality of someone who wants to say that the other is to blame", commented Moskov in connection with the dispute between GERB and PP-DB is there a "hole" in the budget and how big it is:

"Those who are playing at the moment of government and opposition are jointly guilty of this. And neither one nor the other side has the intention and does not want to change this trend. The only difference between them is that they say that the other is guilty. ... What was a policy set by the PP was implemented by them and GERB together in the assembly. Now GERB refuses to get out of this comfortable rut, because it is for the people".
"In order to fulfill the legal framework in which we all live, we must have 3.7 billion leva more expenses compared to 2024. In order to have a 3% deficit, we can only have 400 million leva new expenses. That is, a 3.3 billion leva deficit is above 3 percent. This is the mathematical conclusion," he emphasized.

Peter Moskov defined as the only valuable request of the new administration the expressed intention of the Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov for "the possibility of transferring the large infrastructure to a concession principle with private capital and private risk".
