By order of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Lyudmila Petkova has been dismissed from the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, the government press service reports. The proposal for the dismissal is from Minister of Finance Temenuzhka Petkova.
In the period April 2024 - January 2025, Lyudmila Petkova was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in the two caretaker governments of Dimitar Glavchev.
After the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet was elected, Petkova remained as Deputy Minister. The budget for 2025, which she proposed while still a minister, was not approved by the new government. At the end of January, both Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova announced that the 2025 Budget would begin to be rewritten.
