There is a rearrangement of political alliances. With this finding, sociologist Andrey Raichev began his analysis of the political situation in the country and commented:
"The rulers are a very unexpected combination, and an indefinite one at that. The usual alliances that we are used to seeing are falling apart and new ones are emerging. The question that GERB has to decide - DPS-NN or DPS-Dogan - is postponed, with Borisov saying that the budget must be adopted first. This will be decided when we see the regional governors. ... For the battle of the two DPS, the key is who will be the regional governor of Kardzhali, because in the next elections they will weigh their electorates. ... The government's support is an attempt by Dogan to take positions of power, which will improve his positions in places if he manages to impose regional governors and other appointments. ... The other battle is between President Rumen Radev and the PP. Currently, Radev is moving to positions very close to the DB regarding the judicial system, which means distancing himself from Borisov. And vice versa - Borisov's rapprochement with other circles that are not so interested - mainly DPS-NN. We were used to Borisov and the president improving their relations, but this is also shifting.
In the words of Andrey Raichev, President Radev is returning to "the root of his authority - this is 2020, the square and the raised fist":
"He is right to return, because this is his capital".
According to the sociologist, it is also very important that the MRF-NN has shifted the focus of propaganda - before Delyan Peevski constantly talked about Euro-Atlanticism, and now - all about Soros, which is related to the change of the US president:
"This means that in Peevski's eyes, the main ideological opponent, who will be denounced and crushed, is the democratic American, because this is Soros. But the PP-DB does not perceive Peevski as the main target of criticism, which I expected. ... They chose, absolutely unexpectedly, anti-Putin and anti-Russian"
"Desislava Atanasova is a very strong player and her nomination for the Venice Commission is a good move. The political logic is clear - she has worked for many years with Rosen Zhelyazkov and he trusts her. If he can let her on the field, why keep her on the bench, because the CS is a half-bench", Raichev also commented.
