Bojankov: PP decided to commit suicide for no reason - 1

A post on Facebook against the decision of "Change" to support the government's budget was published by the MP from "Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) Yavor Bojankov. He hit hard at the opposition coalition.

"I do not enjoy writing the following lines. This is my personal opinion. We must point out the mistakes – including our own. In order to protect our community," Bojankov begins.

"Assen Vassilev stated that we will support the GERB budget if it has a 3% deficit and 40% of GDP spending, because the eurozone is important – no matter who takes credit.

This statement was made before we had even seen the budget. And it can meet these criteria and still be harmful to Bulgaria in 99% of its content. GERB is obliged by law to comply with a 3% deficit – this is not a reason for gratitude. Nor a reason for support.

The budget is the only normative act that can only be submitted by the executive branch. It is an emanation of the views of the ruling party. A physical law in politics is that the opposition can support reasonable proposals on second reading, but not the philosophy of the law on first. If you do this – then you are part of the majority.

Rosen Zhelyazkov thanked the PP/DB for supporting the ruling party. I thought he was lying. I was disappointed that he wasn't lying.

This huge mistake could have several explanations - all unpleasant:

1. Assen Vassilev doesn't understand basic rules and is leading us towards a catastrophe by self-unionization. If that were the case, someone would have stopped him.

2. The ruling majority is unstable - BSP wants social spending, and GERB - a tight budget. PP displaces BSP and supports the budget. Such a deal would have a counter-performance - seats in regulators, the Supreme Judicial Council or something else. I cannot and do not want to assume that PP colleagues are capable of such a thing.

3. PP have decided to commit suicide for no reason. A stupid explanation, but for now there is no other logical one.

Whatever the motives behind this blunder, it must be nipped in the bud.

I have one thing in mind after the election of Silvi Kirilov. That is why I am warning.

I do not publicly comment on the messages that Kiril Petkov and Nikolay Denkov exchanged with Delyan Peevski. The sensei, etc. Nor the visits of the PP leaders to the USA. In recent weeks, we have taken brutal blows. Without being in government. But supporting the budget of the ruling majority from the position of opposition is absolute damage. Total. Irreversible. Unforgivable.

In politics, support is not offered. It is sought. If GERB has a problem with the majority - you do not save them. They are looking for salvation. Then you think about it. If they wanted government with our participation - there were negotiations. To which the PP did not show up!" Bojankov, who defected to the PP from the ranks of the BSP, ends.
